Newly appointed administrator Bappi takes charge of Khulna Zila Parishad

KHULNA, March 16, 2026 (BSS) – Newly appointed administrator of Khulna Zila Parishad S M Monirul Hasan Bappi assumed the office this afternoon.

He took over the charge from Chief Executive Officer of the Zila Parishad and Deputy Director of Local Government under the district administration Md Ariful Islam at a function held at the Zila Parishad office.

Newly appointed administrator of Khulna City Corporation Nazrul Islam Manju attended the programme as the chief guest.

Speaking on the occasion, Manju said Prime Minister Tarique Rahman appointed administrators to activate the previously stagnant district councils across the country.

He expressed hope that the appointment would help resume and accelerate development activities in Khulna district and meet the expectations of the people.

While assuming office, administrator S M Monirul Hasan Bappi said the BNP government, led by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, is determined to transform the Zila Parishad into a corruption-free, people-friendly welfare institution.

“No corrupt individuals will have any place in the Khulna Zila Parishad,” he said, adding that ensuring financial, social and state services at the grassroots level would be his priority.

Amir Ejaz Khan MP and district BNP convener Md Moniruzzaman Montu also spoke on the occasion.

Leaders and supporters of BNP from nine upazilas and two municipalities of Khulna district greeted the newly appointed administrator with flowers.
