KISHOREGANJ, March 26, 2026 (BSS)  -  A college student was killed in a road accident in Maijhati area under Pakundia upazila of the district on Thursday afternoon.
 
The deceased was Arian Sabbir, 19, son of Ali Hossain of Madhya Maijhati village of the upazila and a student of Wali Newaz Khan College.
 
The accident took place around 2:00 pm on the Kishoreganj-Bhairab highway when a microbus hit his motorbike from the opposite direction, leaving bike rider Arian critically injured.

 Local residents immediately rushed him to Katiyadi Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty physician Dr. Farzana Bobby Akhter declared him dead.
 
Khurshed Alam, in-charge of Katiyadi Highway Police Outpost, confirmed the accident.

 The body was sent to Kishoreganj Shaheed Syed Nazrul Islam Medical College Hospital morgue.
