Train hits private car in Khulna, four injured

KHULNA, March 29, 2026 (BSS) - Four passengers were injured when a train hit 
a private car in Khulna city on Sunday afternoon.

The accident occurred around 4.30 pm in the Mashiali Math area under Khan 
Jahan Ali Police Station when the Khulna-bound Sundarban Express collided 
with the vehicle, leaving it badly mangled.

The injured were identified as Sani 25, Aimul Dipu, 23, Amit, 25, and an 
unidentified person. 

Among them, two received primary treatment, while the other two were admitted 
to Khulna City Medical College Hospital.

Officer-in-Charge of Khulna Railway Police Station, Md. Ferdous Alam Khan, 
confirmed the incident and said the injured were rushed to hospital, saying 
investigation is underway to identify the accident.
