CMP arrests 38 in 24hrs

CHATTOGRAM, April 1, 2026 (BSS) - Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) arrested 38 people, including 14 snatchers, during operations over the past 24 hours.

The arrests took place in different parts of Chattogram through operations conducted until Wednesday noon as part of CMP's ongoing Operation 'S-Drive,' aimed at curbing various criminal activities.

Chattogram Metropolitan Police control room (Public Relations) sources said the operation also led to the detention of 16 drug dealers, a gambler, and four members of a extortinists gang.

Huge Yaba, Ganja, country made wine and two knives were recovered from their possession.
Cases have been filed against the arrested individuals at the relevant police stations, and they have been sent to court.
