Cleanliness, Mosquito Control Campaign inaugurated in Magura

MAGURA, April 4, 2026 (BSS) - A cleanliness and mosquito control campaign was inaugurated in Magura today under the slogan, "Keep our city clean, stay healthy together."

Magura-1 lawmaker Md Monowar Hossain inaugurated the program at 10:30 am at the premises of Magura Sadar Hospital as the chief guest. 

Additional Deputy Commissioner Abdul Kader, members of the newly formed committee of the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society, Magura Unit, local political leaders, and volunteers were present on the occasion.

Under the campaign, cleaning activities were carried out in different alleys around Magura Sadar Hospital and the Jahan Hospital Lane area. Simultaneously, mosquito control spraying was conducted in various parts of the town using fogger machines.

Members of the Red Crescent Unit and local volunteers actively participated in cleaning the surroundings and implementing measures to control mosquito breeding.

To raise public awareness, residents were provided with guidelines on maintaining cleanliness and preventing mosquito proliferation.

Local residents welcomed the initiative and called for regular implementation of such programs.
