KHULNA, Apr 5, 2026 (BSS) – Leaders of the newly elected committee of the Khulna City Corporation (KCC) Employees’ Union paid a courtesy call on KCC Administrator Nazrul Islam Manju at the GIZ auditorium of Nagar Bhaban today.

During the meeting, the administrator congratulated the newly elected leaders and noted that a peaceful and participatory election had been held.

Describing KCC as a service-oriented institution, he said the quality of its services largely depends on its employees. He added that city dwellers expect the corporation to always stand by them and work for public welfare.

He urged the members of the Employees’ Union to begin their responsibilities with renewed enthusiasm.

It may be mentioned that the biennial election of the KCC Employees’ Union was held on April 3. The panels led by Haque–Liton and Golam Mostafa–Ashraful contested the election, where the Haque–Liton panel emerged victorious. The newly elected leaders greeted the administrator by presenting a bouquet of flowers.

KCC Chief Engineer Moshiuzzaman Khan, Conservancy Officer Engineer Md. Anisur Rahman, Estate Officer Gazi Salauddin, Store Superintendent Ujjal Kumar Saha, and License Officer (Trade) Khan Habibur Rahman, among others, were present.
