KHULNA, April 18, 2026 (BSS) - Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-6) have arrested the prime accused in an attempted murder case from the city.

The arrestee was identified as Badsha, 19, son of Naimuddin Sana of Deara area under Koyra Police Station in the district, according to a RAB press release.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB-6 CPC Special Company conducted a drive around 10pm on Friday in the Rajbandh area under Harintana Police Station of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) and arrested him.

Badsha is the prime accused in a case filed over the attempted murder of a youth named Fahim, who was shot in the Rayermohol area on November 9, 2025.

He is also a member of a local criminal group known as 'B Company' and had allegedly established dominance in the area by intimidating people with firearms.

The release further said Badsha was also an accused in a murder case and had been involved in keeping illegal arms used in different criminal activities.

He was handed over to Aronghata Police Station for further legal action.
