Minor dies after auto-rickshaw accident in Bagerhat

BAGERHAT, April 26, 2026 (BSS) - A minor died after being hit by an auto-rickshaw in Mollahat upazila of the district this morning.

The deceased was identified as Safid Farazi, 4, son of Rashed Farazi of the area.

The accident occurred around 9am in the Anandora Gawla area on the Mollahat-Khulna old road when the auto-rickshaw hit the boy as he suddenly ran onto the road.

Locals rescued the child and took him to Fakirhat Upazila Health Complex, where a doctor on duty declared him dead.

Mollahat Police Station Officer-in-Charge Kazi Ramjanul Haque confirmed the incident.
