PATUAKHALI, May 28, 2026 (BSS) - Two siblings were killed and as many as wounded in a head-on collision between an auto-rickshaw and a motorcycle in front of the Grameen Bank office in the Galachipa municipal area of the district around 10:30am today

The deceased were identified as Md Tamin Howlader and Imran Howlader, sons of Md. Jaber Howlader of the Kalikapur area.

Tamin died on the spot, while Imran died on the way to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital in critical condition.

The injured auto-rickshaw driver, Sohag, and passenger Farid were admitted to the Galachipa Upazila Health Complex.

Officer-in-Charge of Galachipa Police Station Md. Zillur Rahman said bodies would be handed over to the families after completion of legal procedures.
