DNCC to remove sacrificial animal waste within 12 hours

DHAKA, May 28, 2026 (BSS) – Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has planned to remove sacrificial animal waste within 12 hours, beginning from 2pm today on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.

State Minister for LGRD and Cooperatives Mir Shahe Alam and DNCC administrator Md. Shafiqul Islam Khan inspected the waste removal operations in the Mirpur Ceramic Road area of the capital.

Shahe Alam hoped the animal waste removal works will end well before 2am.

He said the operation will continue for the next two days as around 16,000 sanitation workers and 752 vehicles are engaged in removing sacrificial animal waste.

Administrator Shafiqul Islam Khan said the corporation has a coordinated 72-hour action plan for the animal waste management.

Corporation officials were present during the inspection.
