DMCH remains busy serving patients even on Eid day

DHAKA, May 28, 2026 (BSS) - Dhaka Medical College Hospital remained busy with its regular activities as medical services continued uninterrupted at one of the country’s leading hospitals even on the day of holy Eid-ul-Azha.

A total of 2,324 patients remained admitted in indoor wards on the day of Eid. Pathology, X-ray, and other emergency healthcare services also remained operational. In addition, the hospital authorities arranged improved-diets for the patients on the occasion of holy Eid.

Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) director general Professor Dr. Pravath Chandra Biswas visited the hospital this afternoon.

He visited various wards, inquired about patients, and inspected the quality of the meals being served. He expressed satisfaction with the overall management.

The DG also exchanged greetings with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare workers.
