Worker electrocuted in Bagerhat

BAGERHAT, June 16, 2026 (BSS) - A worker of a fish feed factory died after being electrocuted in Bagerhat's Mollahat upazila this morning.

The deceased was identified as Mainul Islam Mahin, 32, son of Rafiqul Islam of Andharmanik village in Kachua upazila of the district and an employee of Bismillah Fish Feed Factory, located beside the highway in the Sonadanga area of the upazila.

According to local sources, Mahin was operating the factory's water supply machine as part of his regular duties when he came into contact with a live electric connection and was electrocuted.

His co-workers rushed him to Fakirhat Upazila Health Complex, where the attending physician declared him dead.

Sub-Inspector Monjir of Mollahat Police Station confirmed the incident.
