50 recovered mobile phones handed over to owners in Khulna

KHULNA, June 23, 2026 (BSS) - Khulna District Police today handed over 50 recovered mobile phones to their rightful owners at a function held at the conference room of the Superintendent of Police's Office.

The mobile phones, which had been lost or stolen, were recovered by the Cyber Crime Investigation Cell of the district police.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Mohammad Tajul Islam presided over the programme and formally handed over the recovered mobile phone sets to their owners.

Speaking on the occasion, the SP urged citizens to file a General Diary (GD) with the nearest police station immediately after losing a mobile phone or becoming a victim of theft.

He highlighted the professional, skilled and sincere efforts of Khulna District Police in combating technology-based crimes and expressed hope that such recovery operations would continue in the future.

Tajul Islam said Bangladesh Police remains committed and vigilant in ensuring citizen services and preventing cybercrime across the country.

The recipients expressed their gratitude to the police for recovering and returning their mobile phones.

Among others, Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime and Ops) Anisuzzaman, Additional Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Abir Siddiquee Shuvro and Assistant Superintendent of Police (Probationer) Opu Mondol were present at the event.
