
RAJSHAHI, Sept 6, 2026 (BSS)- A mobile court here today fined a bakery shop Taka 10,000 for producing and selling or distributing its products in a highly unhygienic environment without obtaining the quality certificate from Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI).
The mobile court, conducted in Rajshahi metropolis at the initiative of the BSTI Divisional Office, fined Al-Amin Food Products, located in the Chhotobongram area of the city, for producing and selling "Biscuits and
Bread" in a highly unhygienic environment without obtaining the quality certificate from the BSTI.
The mobile court was led by Executive Magistrate Shahriar Islam Nasif while Officer of the Certification Marks Wing of the BSTI Divisional Office Engineer Junaid Ahmed served as the prosecutor in the drive.
Members of the Rajshahi Metropolitan Police were present at the time.
In the public interest, such drives by BSTI will continue regularly to prevent adulteration and ensure the supply of quality food products.
