BOGURA, Sept 7, 2026 (BSS) - The district administration’s mobile court today fined the owner of a chanachur factory Taka 3 lakh for producing food products in an unhygienic environment in Chelopara area of the city.

The mobile court conducted the drive at ‘Dollar Chanachur and Semai’ factory in Chelopara area around 1 pm.

During the drive, the mobile court found that flour dough was being prepared by trampling it with feet and spices were being mixed with chanachur in an extremely unhygienic environment.

The authorities also found that burnt oil and unauthorised chemical colours were being used to fry the chanachur. The finished food products were being kept scattered on dirty floors, while workers were not maintaining even basic hygiene standards.

“Such drives will continue in the public interest,” he added.
