DHAKA, June 19, 2025 (BSS) - The Fact-Check and Media Research Team of the Press Institute Bangladesh (PIB), known as BanglaFact, has identified a viral video claiming recovery of illegal weapons from an NCP leaders’ residence as misrepresentation and false.

According to BanglaFact investigators, the video is not related to any NCP leader but shows the recovery of arms from the residence of former Awami League leader Omar Faruk Munna.

Lieutenant Commander Mahmudul Hasan, Captain of RAB-11, confirmed that a joint force recovered illegal firearms and knives from Munna’s house though Munna was not present during the raid.

The operation took place on April 15 in Cumilla, and the video document was on that raid.
