AI-generated video circulating propaganda against BNP: Rumor Scanner

DHAKA, Nov 13, 2025 (BSS) - Rumor Scanner, the leading fact-checking organisation in Bangladesh, has detected AI-generated video circulating propaganda against Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) in the name of a Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).

The Rumor Scanner fact check investigation team said in an AI-generated video, the DMP commissioner was claiming that a BNP man was detained while setting a car on fire.

It was propaganda against the BNP which was also detected, it added.
