DHAKA, July 16, 2025 (BSS) – FactWatch, a Bangladesh-based independent fact-checking organization, has identified a video claiming that Chhatra Shibir-Chhatra Dal clash, which is actually an old video of Chhatra League.

 According to a FactWatch investigation report, a video was recently shared on Facebook claiming that there was a fierce clash between Chhatra Shibir and Chhatra Dal over the occupation of a hall of Dhaka University. 

 But, FactWatch investigation identified that it is a video of the Chhatra League attacking students after they blocked the Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University in 2018, demanding four points, including trial for the atrocities committed against female students.

 Recently, there has been an increase in the spread of fake videos, rumours and misleading news on social media. FactWatch claims that they are taking note of these issues, verifying them, presenting the truth and working to prevent rumours.
