DHAKA, July 18, 2025 (BSS) - Fact-checking platform BanglaFact, operated by the Press Institute Bangladesh (PIB), has identified a video claiming that it was the footage of a second attack on NCP leaders and activists in Gopalganj, which is actually an old video of a clash between Gopalganj university students and Sheikh Sayera Khatun Medical College students.

In a statement, BanglaFact mentioned that an attempt is being made to spread confusion by circulating old video claiming a second attack on the leaders and activists of National Citizen Party (NCP) in Gopalganj.

A video has been circulated on the social media "Facebook" claiming that there was a second attack on the NCP leaders and activists in Gopalganj on the night of July 16, it added.

BanglaFact identified that the video is not of the attack on the NCP leaders and activists on the night of July 16.

In fact, on November 21, 2021, there was a clash between the students of Gopalganj University and Sheikh Sayera Khatun Medical College in Gopalganj and this is the video of that incident, it added.
