LAKSHMIPUR, Jan 22, 2025 (BSS)- The badminton competition on occasion of Festival of Youth was held at Lakshmipur Govt. College ground on Wednesday keeping ahead the slogan of "Let's change the country, change the world.

Deputy director of local government department and municipal administrator Md Jasim Uddin distributed the prizes to the participants who took part in the badminton meet.

Earlier, in the morning the tournament was held under the initiative of the district administration and district sports office with the participation of fourteen boys' and girls' teams.

Additional deputy commissioner JP Dewan, district sports officer Md Jahangir Hossain and district football federation general secretary Sohel Adnan, were among others, also present on the occasion.

Deputy director of local government department Jasim Uddin said drug would be eliminated through sports. Various programs have been undertaken at different levels in the district to implement the youth festival that is going on across the country. 

The boys and girls of fourteen participating teams in the tournament showed impressive performance separately and he urged the players to keep this consistency. 

He also assured the overall support would be provided for the players on behalf of the district sports organization and the district administration.
