76 people injured in uprising get treatment in Feni

FENI, Jan 23, 2025 (BSS) – Seventy-six people injured in July-August uprising received special medical care at a medical camp in the district.

The two-day medical camp began at 9 am on Wednesday and ended on Thursday afternoon provided the treatment. 

Local administration, health department and social services department took this initiative to celebrate the Youth Festival with the aim to build a new Bangladesh with the slogan of "Come change the country, change the world".

Civil Surgeon Dr Mohammad Shihab Uddin said 76 July-August uprising injured received specialist medical care in the tow-day medical camp.

Of these, 21 were shifted to various hospitals in the capital including Dhaka Medical College, National Institute of Ophthalmology and National Institute of Neurosciences and Hospital. 

Ophthalmologist Dr. Brajgopal, ENT specialist Dr. Mobarak Hossain Dulal, orthopedics Dr. Mashiur Rahman and Dr. Jamal Uddin, surgery specialist Dr. Adnan Ahmed, chest specialists Dr. Shariful Islam Joni and Dr. Shariful Kabir, medical officers Dr. Sunanda Sen and Dr. Rubel Roy provided treatment to the injured.

Deputy Director of the District Social Services Office Saiful Islam Chowdhury said, "The injured people were also given medicines as required by the Social Services Department."
