South Korea's Lee wins presidency: official results

SEOUL, June 3, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - South Korea's Lee Jae-myung has defeated conservative rival Kim Moon-soo and won the country's presidential election, official figures from the National Election Commission showed Wednesday.

With 96.74 percent of total ballots counted, it is now mathemically impossible for Kim to win enough votes to beat Lee, official figures showed.
