RABAT, Oct 2, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - Three people have been killed in protests in Morocco demanding reforms to the public health and education sectors, Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch said Thursday, in his first public address since the unrest started nearly a week ago.

"We have unfortunately recorded the deaths of three people" during the protests, Akhannouch said, describing the events as "regrettable".

An Interior Ministry spokesman told AFP that all three demonstrators were killed after attempting to storm a local law enforcement station Wednesday night. Two of the deaths were previously reported.
