SOCHI, Russia, Oct 2, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday accused Kyiv of conducting strikes around the occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant and warned Moscow may respond reciprocally.

"They still have functional nuclear power plants on their side. What prevents us from responding in kind? Let them think about this," he said in answer to a question about the nuclear facility, now off the grid for more than a week after strikes, for which Russia and Ukraine have traded blame.
