PIROJPUR, Jan 31, 2026 (BSS) –BNP nominated candidate for Pirojpur-1 constituency Professor Alamgir Hossain has pledged to implement the 31-point programme announced by BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman and to work for improving the living standards of fishermen.

“If voted to power in the upcoming Jatiya Sangsad polls slated for February 12, I will focus on road development and building a drug and terrorism-free society based on the party’s 31-point framework,” he said.

Alamgir Hossain made the assertion while responding to a query on his electoral pledges ahead of the polls here recently.

In this connection, he said that he would work to implement the 31-point programme, if elected, attaching utmost emphasis on eight basic issues including family cards and farmers’ cards.

Mentioning that Pirojpur is an area surrounded by rivers, he pledged to construct embankments to protect the region from cyclones and tidal surges.
