13-member Australian delegation observes JS session

SANGSAD BHABAN, April 9, 2026 (BSS) - A 13-member parliamentary delegation from Australia, led by Speaker of the Australian House of Representatives Milton Dick MP, today observed the ongoing session of Jatiya Sangsad.

During the afternoon’s sitting, Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmad, Bir Bikram, formally informed lawmakers about the presence of the visiting delegation and extended a warm welcome on behalf of all members of Parliament.

“I am pleased to inform the House that a 13-member parliamentary delegation from Australia, led by the Speaker of the Australian House of Representatives, Milton Dick MP, is here and observing today’s ongoing session (of the Jatiya Sangsad),” said the Speaker.

Following the announcement, the members of Parliament warmly welcomed the visiting delegation with applause.

When the delegation was witnessing the session, the House continued their legislative business as several bills were discussed and passed.
