DHAKA, Sept 02, 2025 (BSS) – A court here today ordered the seizure of tax documents of Bushra Siddique, daughter of ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s Defence Adviser Maj Gen (retd) Tarique Ahmed Siddique.

Acting judge of Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Court Ibrahim Miah passed the order, allowing a plea of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

The anti-graft body, in its plea, said a case has been filed against Bushra, and it is now under probe. After reviewing the records and other information in the probe, it was found that the accused Bushra Siddique is an income taxpayer.

“As per Section 309(3) (ka) of the Income Tax Act, 2023 (Act No. 12 of 2023), a court order is required to collect tax returns and relevant documents. In line with the provision, an order is needed to seize the original copies of Bushra Siddique’s income tax returns and related records, and to provide certified copies for examination during the investigation,” the plea said.
