DHAKA, March 22, 2026 (BSS) – A court here today sent to jail one Rubel alias Dagi Rubel in a case lodged with the city’s Mohammadpur Police Station under the Arms Act. 
 
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Fahmida Khandaker Anna passed the order as police produced the accused before the court and pleaded to keep him behind bars till the end of the probe. 
 
A team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-2 detained Rubel from the Babar Road area in Mohammadpur on March 21 and seized a locally made pistol from his possession. He was later handed over to the Mohammadpur Police Station, and the case was filed.
