DHAKA, March 22, 2026 (BSS) - The Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) will cover all medical expenses of electrical lineman Salauddin Ahmed, who was injured while providing emergency civic services to city residents during the Eid holidays.

DSCC Administrator and Freedom Fighter Md Abdus Salam said this while visiting the injured employee, who is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the capital’s Dhanmondi.

After the hospital visit, speaking to journalists, the administrator said the incident was deeply unfortunate. He said the Prime Minister had directly instructed him to ensure all necessary medical support for the injured worker.

He said the city corporation is making every possible effort for his recovery. “His condition is improving compared to before, and he is now out of danger,” he said.

Salauddin Ahmed sustained serious injuries to his head and arm after falling from an electric pole while performing his duties in Ward No. 36 on the day before Eid on March 20.
