JS Whip Dulu joins reunion of university students in Natore

NATORE, March 22, 2026 (BSS) - A reunion of students from Natore district studying in 97 public universities, engineering universities, and medical colleges across the country was held today.

Jatiya Sangsad Whip M. Ruhul Quddus Talukder Dulu inaugurated the programme in the morning at the Shaheed Ziaur Rahman auditorium of Nawab Siraj-Ud-Dowla Government College in Natore.

Lawmaker Principal Md. Anwarul Islam Anu, Professor of Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University Dr. Md. Shafiqul Islam Bari, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief Motakabbir Ahmed, Executive Director of Kobi Nazrul Institute Md. Latiful Islam Shibli, Superintendent of Police of Natore Md. Abdul Wahab, Upazila Nirbahi Officer of Natore Sadar Md. Arif Adnan, and educationist and former principal of Jhenaidah Cadet College Nazrul Islam Monju, among others, spoke at the ceremony.

Md. Mahmud Liton, President of the Public University Students’ Association of Natore (PUSAN)—an organization representing around 18,000 students from 97 educational institutions, chaired the event. 

During the event, the “Rani Bhavani Medal” was awarded as a recognition of excellence to Professor Abdus Sattar for outstanding contribution to fine arts, Latiful Md. Islam Shibli for literature, and Hajera Khatun as a distinguished mother (Ratnogarbha Maa).

Freshly admitted 350 students across 97 public universities were formally welcomed. 

Awards and recognition were given to the best educational institutions at the secondary and higher secondary levels in the district. Educational scholarships of Taka 2,000 per month were provided to 36 students from various universities, and prizes were distributed among winners of different events.

The programme concluded with a colorful cultural performance.
