Agriculture minister mourns casualties in Cumilla bus–train collision

DHAKA, March 22, 2026 (BSS) – Agriculture Minister Mohammed Aminur Rashid has expressed deep shock and sorrow at the deaths of 12 people in a bus and train collision at the Padua Bazar railway crossing in Sadar Dakshin Upazila in Cumilla.

In a condolence message, he said the loss of so many lives in a single incident is extremely painful. 

He prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured and instructed the authorities concerned to ensure the highest level of medical treatment for them. 

He also emphasized the need to take necessary measures to prevent the recurrence of such accidents.

Aminur, also minister for fisheries and livestock and food, prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved families.
