DHAKA, June 16, 2025 (BSS) - Iran has called upon the international community, including the UN and Islamic countries, to respond quickly against Israeli aggression to its territory.

“We call upon the international community—particularly the United Nations, Islamic countries, and all peace-seeking member states—to swiftly and effectively respond to this act of aggression and the serious threat it poses to international peace and security,” read a press release issued by the Iranian Embassy in Dhaka today.

“The occupying Zionist regime of Israel has committed a brutal act of aggression on the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran, resulting in the martyrdom of commanders of the country’s armed forces, prominent scientists as well as innocent women and children,” read the statement.

It said Teheran is deeply saddened by the heinous acts of Israel.

The release said that this aggression constitutes a clear violation of Articles 2 and 4 of the United Nations Charter, and is a blatant example of direct military aggression against the national sovereignty of Iran.
In this context, it said, “Under Article 51 of the UN Charter, the Islamic Republic of Iran reserves the legitimate right to respond and defend itself accordingly”.

“The full responsibility for the consequences of this aggression lies squarely with the Zionist occupying regime,” said the statement.
