DHAKA, April 18, 2026 (BSS) - Prime Minister's Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman has said Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has taken on the responsibility of running the government solely to serve the people.

"Prime Minister Tarique Rahman maintains a very simple lifestyle and makes humble behaviors. His only goal is to serve the country," he told a press conference at the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) in the capital's Tejgaon this afternoon.

The PMO organized the press conference to present achievements of the BNP government in the last 60 days since assuming office.

He said despite some challenges due to global crisis, the government has been making its all-out strides since assuming office to make betterment of the people.

He urged the media to present the government's initiatives and efforts for the advancement of the country.

"If there are any flaws or shortcomings, you will inform us so that we can improve in the future," he told the journalists.
