COX’S BAZAR, July 17, 2026 (BSS)- Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed has said the present BNP government is the true representative of the people  and it will always stand by the people.

“The government has all kinds of preparations to tackle disasters. Government and private initiatives to assist flood-affected people are ongoing,” he said.

Home minister said this while distributing relief among flood victims in the Fashiakhali area of Chakaria Upazila of the district. 

He said that survey is being conducted by the government in the areas affected by floods. After the survey, necessary measures will be taken to rehabilitate damaged roads, educational institutions, embankments, and other infrastructures, as well as to assist affected farmers, so that they can return to normal life quickly.

After the relief distribution, Salahuddin Ahmed inspected flood-damaged embankments, roads, and homesteads in the Charakul area of Chakaria. 

Home ministry officials, Deputy Commissioner of Cox's Bazar and UNO of Chakaria Upazila were present.
