Weather may remain dry over country

DHAKA, Jan 11, 2025 (BSS) -The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecasted that the weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country for the next 24 hours beginning from 9am this morning.

“Light to moderate fog may occur at places over the country during late night to morning”, said a Met office weather bulletin here today.

Mild cold wave is sweeping over the districts of Panchagarh, Kurigram, Jashore, Maulavi Bazar and Gopalganj. The night and day temperature may rise slightly over the country.

The country’s maximum temperature was recorded 29.2 degree Celsius in Teknaf in Cox’s Bazar district yesterday and minimum temperature was recorded 8.2 degree Celsius at Tetulia today. 

The sun sets at 05:30 pm today and rises at 06:43 am tomorrow in the capital.
