‘Gono Odhikar Parishad’ holds meeting with US acting ambassador

DHAKA, Jan 30, 2025 (BSS) - A meeting was held between the Gono Odhikar Parishad and the acting US Ambassador to Bangladesh Tracy Ann Jacobson.

The delegation from Gono Odhikar Parishad included its President Nurul Haque Nur, General Secretary Md. Rashed Khan, and International Affairs Secretary Md. Khairul Amin, said a press release.

Acting US Ambassador was accompanied by Political-Economic Counselor Eric Gilan and Political Affairs Officer James A. Stewart.

During the meeting, discussions took place on various issues including post-uprising politics, the economy, US policies regarding Bangladesh, bilateral relations, elections, and the future plans of Gono Odhikar Parishad.

Acting Ambassador Tracy Ann Jacobson praised the role of students and the public during the uprising.
