Irregularities will not be tolerated in govt project implementation: Cabinet Secy

SATKHIRA, Feb 1, 2025 (BSS) - Cabinet Secretary Dr Sheikh Abdur Roshid today 
said that irregularities and corruption will not be tolerated for 
implementation of all government projects in the country.

"All government projects, including the construction of roads and bridges, 
must be implemented properly and irregularities and corruption will not be 
tolerated in this regard," he said.

The Cabinet Secretary said this while speaking as the chief guest at a 
blanket distribution programme at Kharitala Government Primary School ground 
in Kaliganj upazila of the district.

Center for Zakat Management organised the programme with Satkhira Deputy 
Commissioner Mostaq Ahmed in the chair.

A total of 175 poor people received blankets from the chief guest.

The programme was addressed, among others, by Satkhira Superintendent of 
Police Monirul Islam, former lawmaker Gazi Nazrul Islam and Kaliganj Upazila 
Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Anuja Mondal.

Earlier, the secretary visited the graves of his parents in the district 
alongside inaugurating Kharitala Primary Health Center.
