BRUR VC puts emphasis on education, research to improve quality

RANGPUR, Feb 12, 2025 (BSS) - Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) Vice-chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Showkat Ali has said that if the university is to move forward in the rankings, it will have to prioritise quality higher education and research.
 
"The only goal of students should be to achieve higher education and enrich themselves through research. A research institute with all modern facilities will be launched soon at BRUR to involve students in research activities," he said.
 
The Vice-chancellor said this while speaking as the chief guest on the opening day of a two-day seminar on higher education and research facilities in Australia at the virtual classroom of the university's Academic Building-2 on Wednesday.
 
Director of the Office of the Student Affairs Professor Dr Md Ileas Pramanik spoke as the guest of honor.
 
Professor and Chairman of the Department of Development Studies of Dhaka University Dr. Riazul Haque participated as the keynote speaker in the seminar.
 
Students from different departments participated in the seminar organized by the Scholarship Support Office of BRUR.
