BMD forecasts of possible light rain at one or two places over Chattogram, Sylhet divisions

DHAKA, Feb 13, 2025 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecasted that weather may remain mainly dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky over the country with chances of having light rain in one or two places in the next 24 hours beginning from this morning.

"There are chances of light rain or drizzle at one or two places over Chattogram and Sylhet divisions", said the forecast begins from 9am today.

Moderate to thick fog may occur over the country from late night to morning while night temperature may fall by (1-2)øC and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it said.
 
A ridge of sub-continental high extends up to Bihar and adjoining areas and seasonal low lies over the South Bay.

Country's maximum temperature yesterday (Wednesday) was recorded at 31.6 degrees Celsius at Patuakhali and the minimum temperature today was recorded at 11.2 degrees Celsius at Tetulia.

The sunset today at 05:52 pm and rises tomorrow at 06:32 am in the capital.
