DHAKA, Feb 13, 2025 (BSS) – A medical seminar on ‘Global Updates of Cataract and Refractive Surgery’ was held today at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in the city’s cantonment area.

Department of Ophthalmology, CMH Dhaka, organised the seminar, said a press release.
Participants of the seminar discussed some of the technologies that have revolutionised in eye care.

They also discussed the latest surgical procedures, advanced intraocular lenses, femtosecond laser assisted cataract surgery and other complex topics related to eye care.

A live surgery was shown at the beginning of this seminar. 

Also, the panelists highlighted the role of artificial intelligence in eye care, patient safety measures and personal awareness.

CMH Dhaka, run by the Bangladesh Army, provides world-class medical care to members of the armed forces and civilians.

 It should be noted that the institution has set an example as a symbol of trust among the people of the country by providing treatment to 2744 injured persons in the July uprising.

Directorate General of Medical Service (DGMS), Consultant Surgeon General, all senior and junior medical officers of CMH Dhaka, leading national ophthalmologists and media persons were present at the seminar.
