Court orders attachment of plots, flats, building of Nizam Hazari's wife

DHAKA, Feb 17, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today ordered to attach eight flats, 
plots on total 52 bigha land and a four-storey building owned by Nurjahan 
Begum, wife of former Feni-2 lawmaker Nizam Uddin Hazari.

It also ordered to freeze shares and 30 bank accounts of Nurjahan.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order, 
allowing a petition of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

The eight flats are situated in Dhaka and Chattogram. The plots included 15 
acres of land in Khagrachhari district, one plot in the capital's Keraniganj, 
one in Mohamadpur in the city and one in Gazipur district.

The building is situated in the capital's Mohammadpur area.

The court also seized Taka 19.29 crore in cash and deposited in the accounts 
of Meghna Bank, Global Islamic Bank, NCC Bank and FSIBL Bank. 

On October 17, 2024, the court imposed a travel ban on Hazari and his wife.
