DHAKA, Feb 17, 2025 (BSS) - Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain has said young people must lead through their merit, thinking, and creativity to build a new Bangladesh.

The advisor said this while addressing a discussion organized to celebrate the Tarunyer Utshab-2025 at Dhaka Residential Model School and College here today.

Asif Mahmud said more than 14,000 events have been organized in schools and colleges in every district and upazila level across the country marking the Tarunyer Utshab.

The youth society has once again been energized through sports, cultural activities and creative activities across the country, he added.

He said the July Uprising has brought greater responsibility on the shoulders of the youth. “Our new challenge is to build the country anew. To implement this challenge, everyone will have to get prepared from their respective positions through hard work,” he said.

Asif Mahmud, also adviser to the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives, said, “We should take inspiration from the sacrifice of Residential College student and martyr Farhan Fayaz and engage in the work for building our country.”
