DHAKA, Feb 18, 2025 (BSS) - Police have detained two members of a teen gang in the capital's Uttara for stabbing a couple on Monday.

The arrested were identified as Md Mobarak Hossain, 25, and Robi Roy, 22.

Uttara West Police Station Officer-in-Charge, Md Hafizur Rahman, said the teen gang members attempted to run over a child while riding a motorcycle at high speed with loud noises.

A couple, who were riding a separate motorcycle, protested the reckless behavior, which angered the gang. In retaliation, the gang members called reinforcements and attacked the couple with machetes.

Local bystanders managed to nab the two of the gang members, beat them, and handed them over to the police.
