Tripartite deal for easy document attestation process

DHAKA, Feb 18, 2025 (BSS) - A tripartite agreement was signed to easy, quick and secured document attestation process for students going abroad in a digital approach.

Foreign Ministry, University Grants Commission (UGC) and Aspire to Innovate (a2i) today signed the agreement to attest certificates of foreign bound students. 

All university students under the UGC will be able to pay their attestation fee using national payment gateway app and get the service through filling up attestation form from myGov platform.

Project director of a2i Md Mamunur Rashid Bhuiyan, UGC secretary Dr Md Fakhrul Islam and director general (consular and welfare) of foreign affairs ministry Dr Shah Mohammad Tanvir Mansur signed the deal on behalf of their respective sides.

UGC chairman Professor Dr SMA Faiz, UGC members Dr Mohammad Tanjimuddin Khan, professor Dr Mohammad Anwar Hossain, professor Dr saidur Rahman, foreign affairs secretary (East) Dr Muhammad Nazrul Islam, director of information management, communication and training department Md Omar Farukh, finance and accounts director Md Rezaul Karim Hawlader, joint secretary Tahmina Rahman, additional director Engineer Mohammad Ziaur Rahman and Md Golam Mostafa were present at the signing ceremony.

UGC chairman sought cooperation from all quarter of people to implement online certificate attestation initiative smoothly aimed at ensuring easy document attestation belonged to students going abroad.

Foreign secretary (East) Dr Muhammad Nazrul Islam said that it was tough to bring all universities under a unique online attestation platform.
