UGC seeks name for proposed university merging 7 colleges

DHAKA, Feb 18, 2025 (BSS) - The University Grants Commission (UGC) today sought the name from the teachers, students, and stakeholders for the proposed   full pledged  accredited university to be set up merging seven government colleges in the capital.

An official note by the UGC approving the initiative was issued today.

The seven colleges to be merged are Dhaka College, Eden Mohila College, Government Titumir College, Mirpur Government Bangla College, Begum Badrunnesa Government Women's College, Government Shaheed Suhrawardy College, and Kabi Nazrul Government College.

The UGC has called for submitting the name for the proposed university through email to [email protected] within the next five working days.
