DHAKA, Feb 18, 2025 (BSS) - King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulaziz has sent a gift of dates to the top leadership of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on the occasion of holy month of Ramadan.

Officials from the Saudi Embassy have handed over the dates to BNP Chairperson's Personal Secretary ABM Abdus Sattar on Tuesday afternoon at BNP Chairperson's political office at Gulshan.

A total of 145 cartons of dates were sent for BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, the party’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, and other senior BNP leaders, BNP media cell member Shairul Kabir Khan told BSS.

This is not the first time that King Salman has sent a Ramadan gift to the BNP leadership.
Every year, the Saudi King sends his best wishes in the form of gifts, and this year, once again, dates have been sent as a symbol of the ongoing tradition.
