532 more netted under ‘Operation Devil Hunt’

DHAKA, Feb 19, 2025 (BSS) - In the nationwide crackdown by joint forces, dubbed Operation 
Devil Hunt, aimed at preventing destabilization in the country, 532 more individuals have been 
arrested.

A brief statement from Police Headquarters (PQ) reported that a total of 1,583 people were 
arrested across the country in the last 24 hours.

Of these, 532 individuals were detained for their suspected involvement in activities intended to 
destabilize the country under Operation Devil Hunt, bringing the total number of arrests to 6357 
on the 12th day of the operation.

Additionally, 1,051 of those arrested were wanted in various criminal cases.

During the operation, the joint forces also seized a foreign made pistol, one magazine and several 
local weapons.
