DHAKA, Feb 20, 2025 (BSS) - Light to moderate fog may occur at places over the country during late night to morning, while weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country, a Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) release told this noon.

 "Rain or thunder showers are likely to occur at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna  and Barishal divisions," the Met office said.

A trough of westerly low lies over West Bengal and adjoining areas. Seasonal low lies over the South Bay.

Night and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, Met office predicts.

The BMD recorded yesterday's lowest temperature at 13.6 degrees Celsius in Sreemangal in Sylhet and today's maximum temperature as 32.0 degrees Celsius in Baghabari , Rajshahi Division.

The sun sets at 05:57 pm today and rises at 06:28 am tomorrow in the capital.
