DMP files 1557 cases for traffic rules violation

DHAKA, Mar 10, 2025 (BSS) - The traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) filed 1,557 cases for traffic rules violation in the capital during the last one day.

The DMP Traffic Division has filed those cases on March 9 through regular drive against traffic rules breakers, said a press release issued here today by the DMP media and Public Relations Division.

The DMP release said that 189 motor vehicles were dumped and 21 vehicles were towed during the drive against traffic rules violation.

It further said these drives against traffic rule breakers will continue to ensure discipline on Dhaka's streets.

The DMP has been conducting drives against traffic violations in the city aimed at bring traffic system under proper management, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Media and Public Relations Division) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Muhammad Talebur Rahman said.
