'Baisabi Utsab' celebrated at DU

DHAKA, April 12, 2025 (BSS) - Baisabi Utsab, the largest traditional festival for ethnic communities, was celebrated today at Jagannath Hall of Dhaka University (DU) amid festivity.

DU Jum Literature and Cultural Society hosted a series of programmes including a colorful rally, floating flowers in hall pond, games, photo exhibition and a discussion marking the festival of hill communities, said a DU press release here.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Niaz Ahamed Khan inaugurated the event as the chief guest.

Jagannath Hall Provost Debashis Pal and DU Jum Literature and Cultural Society President Ananta Tanchanga, among others, were present at the inaugural ceremony.
